Operator and purpose

Hermes Personal Assistant is operated by Dr Aslam Bhorat for private email, calendar and document workflows. It is not a public application.

Google data accessed

With the account holder’s consent, Hermes can access Gmail messages and associated metadata, calendar events, Drive files, Google Docs and Sheets content, and contact information.

The authorised permissions also allow sending and modifying email, managing calendar events, and creating, editing, sharing or deleting files. These capabilities support tasks requested by the account holder.

How information is used

Information is used to carry out requested tasks, such as preparing summaries and drafts, reviewing schedules, retrieving documents and producing reports.

Relevant content may be sent to the AI service providers configured in Hermes for processing. Requested outputs may be delivered through configured services such as Slack. Those providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies.

Storage and protection

OAuth credentials are stored on the privately managed server and in a restricted working environment used by the assistant. Access to credential files is restricted using filesystem permissions.

Task content and outputs may also be retained in conversation history, logs, generated files, backups or connected services, depending on their configuration. Retention and deletion therefore depend on the systems in which information is stored.

Account controls and deletion

The account holder can revoke Google access through the Google Account’s third-party connections settings:

https://myaccount.google.com/connections

Revoking access prevents further authorised access but does not automatically delete information already retained in files, logs, backups or connected services.

For questions or requests concerning retained information, contact aslambhorat@gmail.com.

Google API data requirements

Hermes’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements:
